Bringing a car to the UK? You need SVA

Any vehicle of non EEC origin must pass an SVA (single vehicle approval) test if under 3 years old. If your car is over 3 years old an MOT test is required.

RJJ Freight Ltd can arrange for the conversion of your vehicle to UK specification and to conform to the Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) test.

We will arrange for the conversion work that is required and then present your vehicle to the Department of Transport in order to obtain a Ministers Approval Certificate (MAC) which is required for UK registration.

ENSURING COMPLIANCE

Function of a number of different parts and items on you vehicle needs to be tested to assess their compliance with the SVA regulations. Each vehicle must have the necessary conversion work carried out to be approved.

Costs for the conversion will vary between makes and models, depending on the work that needs to be carried out. Please contact us with your vehicle details for an estimate of costs involved to obtain the SVA for your chosen car.

NOT ARRANGED AN SVA TEST? - DON'T WORRY

Even if we have not arranged the shipping of your car we can arrange the SVA test for you. We can collect your vehicle from anywhere in the UK and transport it to our SVA test centre and return it back to you either directly after the test or after any conversion work has been carried out.
